We’ve had dogs accompany engagement shoots. Some of our clients have included their cars, their food, or their hobbies. This was the first time we had a shoot with a Vespa scooter named Louie (named after Louie Armstrong). Louie belongs to Lorie, who was learning how to drive him at the time of this engagement shoot–back when it was still warm out.
Looking back, I’m still impressed with how much stuff happened during this engagement session. They got in a tree, they drove around on Louie ( of course), we parked Louie next to the motorcycles by the Halifax waterfront and posed with a biker, we got some really pretty sunset shots on Citadel Hill, we got some night shots on the waterfront, and we got some action shots (Louie at full speed). At the end of it, Dave and I found a slug on the sidewalk that was almost as big as my foot, so like boys, we got on the ground and photographed it until Lorie and Rae got kind of tired of waiting for us. Awesome time.
Louie was the perfect addition to this shoot. He’s quirky, loveable, and fun, and that’s pretty much how I’d describe Lorie and Dave. Every time we hang out with these two, it’s been laughs and planning their very fascinating wedding (if you think Louie is quirky, just wait. We ARE SO EXCITED FOR THEIR WEDDING). Keep an eye out for these two. You might see them on the road with Louie, and you’ll definitely see them on our blog again, for one of our most anticipated weddings EVER.
