Peggy’s Cove will always have a special place in our hearts. It was at Peggy’s Cove that I asked Rae to marry me, and we later got married not far from there. We don’t get up there enough, but a few times a year at least.
You might imagine my surprise when Cassie, born and raised in Nova Scotia, said she hadn’t been there since a school trip, way back. Actually, I totally understand that. I spent the first 20 years of my life within a 45 minute drive to Toronto and I think I’ve been to the CN Tower twice (once was for a school trip as well). I think being local to an area makes it hard to appreciate some of the things that tend to wow the tourists.
Any way, for this engagement shoot, Cassie & Luke suggested Peggy’s Cove–so of course we were thrilled. The four of us climbed the rocks as the sun slowly went down on the evening. It was a really fun and laid-back session. I get a kick looking at these photos. Their love for each other is obvious. And there’s a touch of bashfulness between them (oh, youth!).
Their wedding is approaching VERY quickly. Less than a month!
