The humans of Hal-Con tilt heavily towards hilarity and creativity. S & M are absolutely no exception here. Take M (the groom), for example. One time (during a different wedding actually) he took a rubber chicken and a red boa, and earned himself the-most-creative-photobooth-capture-in-the-entire-world-ever award. And S (the bride) is equally crafty. The felt floral bouquets seen in this wedding, as well as the boutonnieres, the hair accessories, and the centrepieces at the reception, are all her handy creations. They’re stunning! The status of S & M’s hilarity cannot be doubted: the photos in this blog, as you’ll see, ooze with S&M’s excessively hilarious and good-natured personalities—and I included here only a fraction of the funniest photos, because there are too many. More than once during their wedding, laughter escalated from mere knee-slapping to full blown belly-convulsions… from “HAHAHA!” to “HHHHAAHH HHHAAHH HHHHARGH *coughing* HHHAHH HHHAARRGHH!!!!”.
In addition to the riots had by all, the wedding was very sweet, sincere, and tender. My very favourite weddings are those in which it’s obvious that good-will and love rule. And you could viscerally sense the love between S & M.
Lucky are those who find their partner. Lucky am I for getting to photograph a ceremony that celebrates that love.
Please forgive me for leaving the mysteries of this wedding as mysterious. Why did the police officers show up? Why was the Justice of the Peace wearing a strange green hat? Who ate the bride and groom’s specially made doughnuts? You’ll have to sit uncomfortably with these conundrums, because in all honesty, I know the answers to only 2 of them, and I don’t feel like sharing secrets right now.
Instead, please enjoy some photos from our favourite moments of S & M’s wedding.
