It’s interesting how many hidden gems can be found in a place as relatively small as Nova Scotia. I’m still finding them all the time, usually around this time of year. It’s sort of an informal annual tradition for Rae and I to unplug from the matrix for a couple days around June, to go be “one with nature” (sort of). Our wedding season is busy and we’ve found it healthy to take a short rest early in the season, if only to prove to ourselves that the world will still hold together when we’re not an arm’s length away from the business. This summer Rae found Mongolian yerts in Cape Breton. We stayed there and it was amazing. I might blog about it one day, but not now. The wedding in this blog takes place at a different hidden gem in Nova Scotia: Digby Pines, which we also came upon this summer, just before the yerts.
M & M’s wedding at Digby Pines started on Friday night with everything you would imagine an ideal celebration to be. Incredible food, lawn games, laughter, stories. The establishment is well-groomed and castle-like. M & M were extremely generous to us. They put us up for a couple nights at this beautiful resort so that we could photograph Friday’s celebration as well as the wedding the next day. The wedding itself, as you can see, was graced by glorious weather and beauty. There was something fairy-tale like to it.
We hope you enjoy the some of our favourite moments.
