This wedding is as belly-laughing, joyous and rip-roaring fun as it looks. It was one of those mornings that started out with a hangover and, by the end of the day, you have a spouse (and enough wine for a hangover the next day too). It was a day with horses, oceanic vistas, a mechanical bull, and a gigantic bon-fire that made you sweat from 10 paces away. The food was great, the speeches touching, and it got buried in my “to-do” list back in the summer, which is why I’m publishing it now (January).
One of the really touching things about this wedding was that so many of the people attending had come from so very far away. By “far away” I mean limited-English-far-away and cool accents. Such is the draw of strong family and bonds and friendships. Another touching thing was how down-to-earth L & S were. At no point did I get the impression they were having anything other than a great time. This is, basically, an near-impossible feat. Weddings are generally stressful, even when everything is going exactly right. And everything did go right with this wedding (so far as I know), and it was awesome that L & S were collected throughout the entire day, and enjoyed every minute of it. All the better if you can enjoy the heck out of it, like these two.
