We met Daniel + Jun over Skype since they were in Prince Edward Island and we were in Halifax. Though we felt as comfortable as old shoes chatting, and though we were impressed with how organized and relaxed they seemed, we didn’t expect the elegance and beauty with which they were planning to infuse their day. The morning of their wedding, we had an address to where they planned to get ready. Following that address, our GPS led us up the driveway of the Aiken House and Garden. Every kind of bloom you could imagine exuded from the greenery and inside the house and guest houses, our jaws dropped at the taste and rustic, breezy charm that seemed to be around every single corner. Somehow, the day kept getting more beautiful, more fun, warmer and inspiring. We admired Jun’s bridesmaids who, despite just flying in from Japan the day before, and despite not being strong in English, delivered powerful speeches at the reception. Topher tips his hat and Rae curtseys to Daniel + Jun and their future together.
