The plan: Meet in the morning for some sunrise photos, and then again in the evening for some sunset photos. In other words, maximize the amount of time we’d be shooting in “perfect lighting”. We had plans to get this shot, and that shot, and so on.
The morning was cold and grey. By sunset, wind and rain and joined the party. We actually had to push the evening part of this session back a day or two because the weather was just too…yuck. Nova Scotia isn’t supposed to look like this in May, is it?
Yet, the photos that came out of this session are killing me! They’re gorgeous. I can barely handle it!
We’d love to take all the credit, but we won’t. Mark and Kelly–the extremely photogenic couple here–were so easy to work with that we just found ourselves being creative, finding unique places to shoot, and just having a good time romping around Halifax. Plus…Mark and Kelly are very themselves.
We usually ask our clients what they want to remember about their life now, when they’re older. We want to know what the photos should encapsulate. Mark and Kelly both said that they want to remember how easy-going they are together. That’s definitely what we see when we look at these photos….everything just flowed. We really hope they feel the same.
