There’s a head-cold on my heels. I know this because of an itchy garbage feeling in my sinuses and a diffuse, spacey sensation muting my thoughts. Tomorrow I’ll probably wake up with a man-cold extraordinaire. I suppose I deserve it too. I’ve been working 15 hours a day as often as I can, have skipped yoga every day for 3 weeks, my diet hasn’t been great and I haven’t been cultivating much positive energy. A million excuses for why I’m doing this to myself are at hand but I don’t even have time to hear myself rattle them off. I should probably feel somewhat panicked by the amount of work I have in front of me, but I’m actually smiling like a goof because of the photos in this blog. This wedding was full of quirky moments, hilarity, and a couple who warmed our hearts….frequently. These photos are my big goofy grin despite my pending head-cold. C & S got on bikes, got in the ocean, had us laugh over, and over, and over. And let’s not even talk about the reception.
Scratch that. Let’s talk about the reception. The reception photos from this wedding are some of our favourites and if you’re planning your own wedding and would like photos that have the same sort of feel, here are some tips: 1) photobooths are great because with the photobooth comes props, which usually find their way onto the dance floor, and let’s face it: people just have more fun if they have a pirate hat and a rubber chicken. 2) the lights were great. First, there was uplighting, which is tend to look great in photos, and second, there were fairy lights on the ceiling, which also look great in photos. Of course, this group of people were really good at having a blast, and this shows up in the photos too.
I’m off to bed, where I’m going to rest like a warrior and beat this head-cold or complain to my wife endlessly. We hope you enjoy the photos!
